Hotspot! STACH food
De tweede tentamenweek komt snel dichterbij -morgen de 1e van de 2 tentamens- en mijn hoofd is volledig gevuld met wiskunde, mijn wiskunde-A-brein begint eindelijk de logica in te zien van alle differentiaalvergelijkingen en matrices. En hoewel ik mijn tijd best nodig heb zal ik toch een keer moeten lunchen, dus mijn moeder vraagt of ik zin heb om met haar en mijn oma ergens te gaan eten. De locatie is al uitgekozen en een uurtje later stappen we in de auto. STACH ligt in Overveen, op 7 minuten rijden vanaf ingang Kennemerduinen (de perfecte locatie om na een mooie wandeling op te warmen en wat te eten dus). -STACH heeft ook meerdere locaties in Amsterdam en Utrecht, deze vindt je op hun site-
The second testweek is coming closer and closer -nr. 1 will be tomorrow- and my head is entirely filled with maths, my statistics-brain finally starting to understand the differential equations and matrices. And even though I'd like to use all the time I got left, I will have to lunch at some point, so my mom asks me to go for lunch with her and my grandma. The location is chosen already and an hour later, we get into the car. STACH is located in Overveen, a 7 minute drive away from the entrance of the Kennemerduinen (and thus the perfect location to get warm and eat something after a nice walk). -STACH is also located in Amsterdam and Utrecht, you can find them on their site (still trying to find an English version, stay tuned (or tell me if you find it first)-
De burgerbar heeft een hele fijne (naar mijn mening dan) uitstraling door het industriële interieur en de ruwe, onafgewerkte wanden. De naam - burgerbar - zegt het al wel een beetje, STACH verkoopt veel burgers, maar je kan hier voor veel meer terecht, zoals ontbijt, soep, salade, pasta, en gebak. Naast het restaurantgedeelte is ook een kleine buurtwinkel met kant-en-klare maaltijden, thee, frisdranken en nog veeeel meer.
Na ons gewarmd te hebben aan een glas verse muntthee kozen we voor de lunch broodjes; super lekkere 'kleine' baguettes met met fantastische belegcombinaties (je kunt alle broodjes hier vinden). Uiteraard keken we na het eten nog even rond en namen we merengue's mee voor bij de koffie (die enorme bollen die je op de foto hiernaast ziet liggen).
The burgerbar has a really nice vibe because of the industrial look and the unfinished, rough walls (oh well, in my opinion at least). The name -burgerbar- says it all, STACH sell burgers, but you can get so much more here, for instance breakfast, soup, salads, pasta, and pastries. Next to the restaurant-part, there's a small store with all kinds of goodies like ready-to-eat meals, tea, lemonades, and sooooo much more.
As we warmed ourselves to a nice glass of fresh mint-tea, we chose some sandwiches for lunch; delicious 'small' baguettes with fantastic combinations of ingredients on top (you can find all of them on their site). And of course, after having eaten, we looked around in the shop for a while and bought some merengue's for later (yes, those are the amazingly big bulbs in the photo!)
