Blooming

I press my face against the window and close my right eye. My left hand twists trying to focus on the right spot. The light isn't perfect but is good enough. I killed next weeks deadline so that I can relax this long weekend and I'm loving it. I turn the vase so my mom's flowers are projected on my lens exactly as I want them to. I had forgotten how much I loved the challenge of capturing nature in close-up. And the best thing is that the photographs don't need a lot of editing. So one day later, here they are:
